Many companies are aware that stress is having a growing impact on the way they function with more work hours being lost each week due to stress related illness. However the problem does not end there, those who are stressed and at work will not be working to their full potential. This can also have a knock-on effect with other members of staff. Hosting taiji classes for your staff helps boost moral as well as keeping your staff healthy.

Classes can be held early morning, lunchtime or after work. The aim is to relax staff with ‘loosening’ exercises and taiji as well as boosting energy using Qigong. Partner work is also used to develop listening skills as well as improving the way we communicate to others. This is a good way to improve the way different departments work together.

Although it is best to have a weekly class ‘one-off’ classes can also be arranged, whether they are ‘taster sessions’ as part of a training day. Classes can also be used as a break from long meetings where people often find it difficult to take in any more information or where an agreement cannot be reached.

Self-defence aspects can also be taught. With the increase in social violence and violent crime many people are looking to defend themselves. The methods taught are simple effective and do not rely on muscular strength, so they are ideal for those of a small frame. The ‘Way’ we defend ourselves is non aggressive and based on people helping each other to develop rather than competing to be best.
